Default Aprilia RSV4 Clutch Lever Sensor Operation

So there seems to be a lot of different thoughts on if you can or can't remove the Clutch switch on the Aprilia RSV4 so you can run an aftermarket clutch lever and perch.

Since I want to run the CRG GP Lever and Perch.

I've decided to find out myself below is what the manual says about the Clutch switch operation and it looks to operate like every other switch I've seen including my Ducati 1198 so I've disconected min and will ride the bike with the switch in the open (clutch lever out and closed (Clutch lever pulled) and see what the bike does, There's been rumors that with the clutch switch closed as if the lever is pulled in the bike won't rev pass 12K RPM's but I don't see why that would be true.

It tells the clutch lever position to the control unit.
Operation / operating principle
If there is gear engaged but the clutch is pulled, i.e.
circuit closed to ground, vehicle start-up is not enabled.
Level in wiring diagram:
Start-up enabling switches
on the vehicle: on the handlebar.

connector: on the sensor.

Electrical characteristics:
Clutch pulled: closed circuit (continuity)

Clutch released: open circuit (infinite

Pin out:
1. voltage 5V
2. ground connection
